I had breakfast there during the covid19 hysteria. plenty of space between tables which I appreciate however that's not why I'm posting The food was absolutely awesome. Have the Mexican skillet and a cup of coffee. The service was atentative The portions were huge, it looked good.. it tasted even better. Was in and out in about 25 minutes which was perfect

Immediately when I walked in the door I felt judged and uncomfortable. I walked to a table and was rudely redirected that I couldn’t sit in a booth. The man was overly harsh in his tone and very demanding, it was unnecessary. I almost wanted to walk out immediately but continued to try and give them a chance. The coffer was awful and my waitress snooty.

I would die for their pancakes!

Stopped for breakfast on our way to Omaha. A little expensive (just down from airport), but food was good. Excellent pancakes. My wife ordered eggs Benedict, said they were ok, but not great.

Nice place for food and service. First time here was for my birthday breakfast with my family. Wonderful selection of food. You get a lot for your $ here.

This place has Great food. It is usually very busy but hardly ever a long wait. It is only open from 6am till 2pm hense why they are usually busy. If you are looking for something great that will stick with you most of the day this is where you should go.

Met up with a friend after a two month hiatus and decided to try Flips. Food was excellent. Service was superb. It was a busy Saturday morning. It was a rainy day. We were enjoying our time together. The owner was friendly....until he politely asked us to hurry up so others could have our table! I was not happy. Probably won't return.

Very nice breakfast and lunch restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere, simple and clean with a bit of nostalgic feel to it. Great service, great food, friendly people. I will certainly return again and recommend it to others also.

The blueberry pancakes are incredible. Many great breakfast options. It's a small restaurant that gets very crowded and very noisy.

Since new owners, food has changed. I used to prefer their hamburgers but now they are served on a sweet bun. Burgers have changed in flavor and size. Tried a tenderloin and first bite was sweet. Yuck! Used to go regularly but to keep me as a customer it needs to go back to the original food. Prices are going up too. Service has always been great!

I got charged 2.00$ for jalapenos I didn't order. There are no refills and wasn't told that until after I had ordered multiple drinks to be refilled. The waitress wasn't good or bad just average. The restaurant was way too small for how crowded it was. And the food was only subpar.

Flips has a ton of selection of food and it is always good. The only problem is the coffee could be a stronger.

I am absolutely dumbfounded with the owner of this business. My family came here to have breakfast just like anyone else and were confronted by the owner as we sat waiting for our food. He asked us with an angry face if the empty seat was going to be filled when there were clearly other tables available. Only because one seat was not being used at our table, the owner decided to unnecessary measures to confront our family. Instantly, my father got up and asked the owner if he asked us with an angry face just because we were wasting his table. His response was, "well yes you are". No business, much less the owner of a business, should treat their customers in such disrespect. There were clearly several other available tables if other customers needed it. My family did not feel welcome here and will not be returning. Terrible service.

Best food around, of course they have amazing breakfast, however their lunch menu is phenomenal. The girls are the best around for dining service and Onis and the gang in the kitchen always satisfy with their amazing menu. Choose Flips for lunch or breakfast and you won’t be disappointed!

Wouldn't allow me to set at a table by myself. Insisted I set at the counter. Told him no as I was having back issues and needed some back support. Left and never returned.

I have never eaten tastier, fluffier pancakes anywhere else. I also love their skillets(corned beef hash is my favorite) ! I have never been disappointed in the quality of the food or the service. I highly recommend Flips for breakfast. I have not tried their lunch yet though.

We don't hate this place. They give excellent service even though they were packed with customers. This time I enjoyed their taco salad. Not served in the traditional tortea bowl, it had 6 large wedges of the shell on the edges of the plate in triangles pointing toward the salad with the usual beef lettuce cheese tomato and onion. Served with sour creme, and salsa and garnished with thin wedges of avocado. I gave the chips to the young people at the table as I was watching carbs, eating only one. My family ate blue berry waffles and enjoyed them also . The restaurant is small for the number of people who enjoy going there, but we've never waited as long to be seated as we have to at some of the larger places.

Went with my grandma, they were packed. Turns out we went on national pancake day. Great food! Service wasn't the best, but they were packed.

Nice, small hometown diner. Friendly waitress, good food. Ordered the spinach and feta cheese crepe. Wish it would have had more spinach and feta cheese in it. Tasty and good size portions.

Good food, service was good but slow. Note that most restaurants nearby allow me to pick another beverage when coffee is included with a meal. Flips does not allow substitutions.

One of the best in the Quad Cities. The food is always consistent and delicious. The staff and the owner always make us feel right at home. The prices are very reasonable. I can't wait to go again.

The service is exceptional but, the food just didn't meet our expectations. The pancakes were good but, the hashbrowns tasted like they were on the verge of being over cooked.

We are super disappointed with our experience. My husband and I shared a two egg meal which is listed on the menu for approximately $6 we both had coffee and I added blueberries to the pancakes. When we received our bill we were shocked that it was almost $18!! We then asked for an itemized receipt and were told we could not have one. The waitress was nice, unfortunately that is not enough to bring us back.

The staff were friendly and the food was good, the southern breakfast was amazing and the biscuits and gravy that are in it are perfect and the best I've ever had.

First time I've been there I had the Grand Slam for $9.99 it was great I recommend it if you're hungry.
